Living Legend
I met Rob years back in Port Douglas and later in Townsville, doing what he does best - catching wind on his buggy. Woah can he fly alright... a true Yoda of the kite surfing community.
Ive caned a few beers over the years with rob when weve lived at dougies , top bloke all round. Havent seen him staying there for couple years now tho. I might have to head north again for the winter. Didnt know he did hangy stuff back in the day aswell
Rob and Chook turned to the 2016 moosemeet in NZ one year.
That was a hard-out windy AF moosemeet. Good times indeed.
For those that don't the moose meet is a yearly kite buggy meet where you camp in the sand dunes for 5 days. 50km up a deserted beach. no cell phone coverage, no running water, no toilets, you take a roll of toilet paper and a spade into the dunes and feed beetles! no nothing other than wind and sand.
It's hard out for a able-bodied dudes. It was super hard for Rob.
But he toughed it out and had a blast. He is one determined bastard.
So many people whinging about their lot and expecting someone else to do something about it, instead of just putting their head down and going for it. Absolute Legend!
