anyone got this on their radar ? Looks awesome, 1 week in WA is normally = one month of wind here, especially that time of year.

You want wind in January,go to Cervantes,it howls .arguably the windiest spot on the west coast .and only a short drive from Perth ,

can get bumpy, but a great place to sail or race ,you know your got muscles after you've sailed at Cervantes ,nice pubs good food ,
i miss it by a week ,on my holiday ,but will still sail there .bad planning as usual,

take a 5,0 when not racing ,have some bump and jump time .
i had to borrow a 4,7 last year in December, and still got blown out of the water ,as did many others .
we measured the wind ,39 knots .at 4 pm .loved it .I love Cervantes .

sorry for butting in on the QLD forum .

It'd been a long time since I've sailed Cervantes, but just remember the most amazing colored water , like a pool in the morning and super windy after lunch ....I lived in WA for 4+ years and have never recovered :( 4.7 - 5.2 m the only sails i ever used Nth of Perth.

I think last years event saw some crew even finish on the podium on a couple of races on wave sails if I'm correct?

Love the format they have got going on with this event, super long races, 3 days, so on the rare chance of a no wind day there are 2 other days to make up for it....its a much better consideration that the LOC , one day hit or miss, the dinner at the lobster shack sounds pretty good too. :)

Just a regular van. Not doing LOC have to be back at work. Ticked that one off before though maybe again one day. Have one wave board and 3 wave sails already to take still need another small wave board for jnr and slalom kit. Have booked the extra baggage so will be taking everything we can!
