I can't find a company that will ship boards interstate for a reasonable price anymore. Any suggestions?
^^^^ none are reasonable lol
But smartsend does door to door for the same price (or bit less) than the so-called 30% off you get with e-go depot-to-depot
Been happy with them twice now

^^^^ account
and I figure that's how WS shops do free delivery and the rest of us get slugged $300 for same thing....
i mean seriously, how do you get a lawnmover or generator on eBay for free delivery......
think the normal guy is getting stiffed...
Yep and getting stiffed big time! Exactly the same freight specs quoted through TNT's EasySend 'non-account' portal ...$375!!! AND you gotta pay immediately via Credit Card.
I want to get a board from Gero to Adelaide and saw this thread. Anyone got any ideas as to the best direction to take?
It usually costs me about c $100- $200 depot to depot through Ego.. Pack it very well .I've had no issues as yet...
^^^ U tried lately? For me, sail went up from $70 to $120 overnight, could not get a board east-west for under $250.
Most of the couriers have or are introducing Manual handling fees for freight that can't be sorted on their conveyors. So the the fee applies for anything that's not a standard small to medium size carton under 30kg. This would apply to boards and sails.
Ive used Interparcel as well as Ego. But not in the last few months. No issues with either. Xtra cost does suck though. Slightly different topic here,i ordered 2 fins from a WA shop sent to Sunny Coast Qld. They sent them 1pm Monday arvo, i RECIEVED them 11am Tuesday!!!! WICKED....Hell ya cant even post a letter from Sunshine Coast to Brisbane that quick.
^^^
Because they are sooooo far away , its quicker to post around the back of Earth and come in from the other side
And use China post , its cheaper.
