Oh yeah, the expectation-o-meter has been battered to death. Fun waves still abound for the desperate!

The alarm goes off at 3 am I make a coffee I get in the car and I go...

An hour like the pic than 30 minutes with a bit of wind, than our friend the southerly came and ruined everything but couple gems all the same

By 8am there were 30 on the peak though - even with the southerly

assuming it is where I am thinking

early bird gets the worm....with the exception of Trigg/ Isos

No waves South beach Dongara Denison.... did an early run up from Jurien Bay... crazy low tide and tiny swell (basically flat). Boards did not come off the racks! Water was nice for a swim, now the wind is blowing at least 35kts!

Had previously checked Louise point at Greenhead and Sandy Bay over the last couple of days... as the swell charts showed some promise, but nothing. LP was super low tide with exposed reef and a 20kt southerly, SB flat and weedy !!

South beach is a fickle fickle mistress, no doubt you did some valuable reconnasaince.
had a bodysurf swim at trigg with the kids yesterday, it was a good chest height for the 7 year old.
we have a sniff of swell Sunday into Monday hopefully it results in a few waves

Hey Razz - I've scored good SB Dongara many times in the past - but mostly around Easter time... but I was desperate and it was only an hour 20min away!!

Am in Sydney without a board ATM. The number of (by Perth standards) decent spots I've seen with no-one, or only a few is astounding! Perthians would be frothing! A fella dismissed my request to borrow his weapon as a joke.
Damn you, random young grom.

I see Huey has checked that there was a possibility of a an E favoured winds for a surf on Sat and Sunday........so he has changed his wind to South favoured

oh Huey what have we done to offend thee so???

Down south of where? Its so over rated. There's no waves "down south" and so many sharks. Stay at your local and everyone is happy.

^^^ - Yes, but locally the banks will be sh!t and the wind will conspire to skunk us all !

(just setting my expectations low so that I 'may' be pleasantly surprised...)

I went for my favourite stormy weather inspection,
theres a lot of sand moving which is good, it's not as big as you may hope however it could be a little flattened from the wind.
Id find it hard for the banks to get much worse so this is a good thing.
how windy will it really be in the morning?

Surfed Mal yesterday got down 9 surfed till 10 pretty ordinary
