I have just started to resurrect my mini, new bearings, tyres, better sail, and a New seat. I will post photos for you to see. It's a bit late in the English summer but I've had an operation this year. I'm sure I can find a few good days to get out. Nice to see some familiar names on here.

Just to remind you this is my mini I built a few years ago. I'm changing the seat, because as comfortable as this looks it really isn't

I normally go to the east coast in the UK. most beaches along the east coast of Lincolnshire has some superb flat sands to sail on that go for miles. the only issue is if you loose the wind it is miles to walk back

Walking back is not as much fun as sailing back That sail looks quite small are you a very light guy?
I rarely sail with less than 5sq Metre these days and some times up to 7 sq M
I am 90kg and need the larger sails. I made a rope bridle that fixes to the front forks Trying to push these foot steered yachts is a pain over any distance . I also am getting back into it after a time away

No it's a 5.7 metres, but probably a 5.5 metres now I've straightened the luff out by the recommended dimensions. It does look small on the photo but it's actually the way it's hanging I think (at least that's what I tell the girls) ????

You'll know all about the beaches on the East coast then? They are superb at times but they can get a few runoffs along the beach sometimes which can knock your filings out if you're not careful
