Yep I used to kite Werribee South Beach for Years... It is one of the best Kite boarding spots in Victoria and no one goes there ( I have moved to Inverloch sucks to be me). Its one of the best places to kite on a North West when people usually travel to Rosebud. The other side of the river is an insane flat water spot, but it is way too shallow to foil. From the main beach you could wade out and foil but that is past the pylon marker. High tide is good but watch out for the sand bars for foiling.

Isn't it the poo plant outlet?

Macster there is no poo plant outlet they recycle all of the water nothing goes into the bay. All of the poo pools are covered and the gas is used in a turbine to power houses in Werribee. The smell when going past Werribee is actually the chicken manure from the vegetable growers farms. There is no smell from the poo farm its all covered up.

I might jimmy in here, as I am an old hack from Altona/Werribee days of kiting back in 2011/12.

Foiling wasn't even a thing back then, but kite surfing was picking up pace, as a sport. Not many yups came from StKilda to this side of town. However, the place is gnarly and requires booties as there are remnants of building materials and brick work, especially on low tide (I am talking about the area in front of the beach houses). If you go further along near the river mouth end, it's cleaner but shallow still. So just keep walking until it's deep enough. However a good deep spot (judging from kiting there a few years back) is straight out of Point Cook Coastal Park Reserve. To the left it gets deeper, especially near the point. A great long beach with hardly anyone there, a park to launch from and just be careful of the sharp shells, so again booties is a must anywhere around those parts. Let us know how you go. Works great on a E-SE
