Looks like the council has once again closed the beach. This time for all of summer. I can't find much detail - does anybody know if the fencing will be there for the next two months?
If you think closing a beach over the remainder of summer so a cinema can be run for a few hours at night is ridiculous, can I please ask you to lodge a complaint with port Phillip City Council.
I personally think beaches are for everybody to enjoy and not something that should be fenced off so a commercial business can be run.
Anyway that is my rant, if anybody has more details that would be great.
I have had a response from the council. They are stating that the fencing off has no impact on the kiters. This is a trial and will be back again next year if they don't get sufficient complaints.
Please if you have a few spare moments write to the council. Below is the link to various councillors.
