I'll be in the Maroochydore area on Wednesday with nothing to do. Looks like there's Southerlies due. Can anyone recommend a suitable location.? Cheers.

High tide around 9:30am and low around 4:30pm that day.
In Maroochydore, Cotton Tree would work out the front in the waves but caravan park creates wind shadow on the flat water sections.
20 mins south Happy Valley would work on the outgoing tide (better with a bit more east in it and at the lower end of the tide)
20 minutes north is Lake Weyba, non tidal and 200 plus meters of knee deep water. Walk out about 80m before launching if wind is due south to get out of the wind shadow.

Cheers Gateman. I've kited all those places , just couldn't remember what wind direction worked and what didn't. Looks a bit chilly, better put the wetty in.

Definitely put the wetty in, today didn't get over 17 degrees ambient but wind chill took at least another 10 off that. Went out and bought a heater at midday because my place was still freezing
