Had an awesome jump session on the 8m today. I'm now dialed in using old c4 technique send it back hard and hold it back, then wait for the drop, drop Fast with bar out and then wang the redirect hard at the last moment. Buttery landings.
I even got that hover a few feet above the water. Cool.

Good times.

Try throwing a downloop with the kite slightly in your direction of travel I.e. 11am if going left, 1pm if going right. Do it on the way down when you're about 5m from the surface. You'll get a little lift again just before landing and ride out smooth and fast into a transition if you follow the downloop through to the opposite direction.

My comment is try different kites and form your own opinion. There is so much positive news about this kite that it is certainly worth a try. I did, and the kite did not agree with me as much as I hoped. Looping is very good even for someone trying to learn basic loops, but the bar pressure was higher than I like and I found a long session a bit tireing. The low end was not the best either.

Tried Core Nexus and Fone Bandit and I liked them a lot more (despite reading a review by a very experienced kiter that Nexus is not a good kite - for him of course, and I do not dipute that at all).

The best kite is the one that fits your skill level, how you want to ride, simply the one you like the best. It is great to have a forum to point you to what others consider the best, but Enduro carries a premium price and it would be dissapointing to fork out a lot of money and learn that you like your mate's kite much more then the one you just bought.

Depends what setting the enduros on
Thera 8 settings all up
freestyle/ fast turning
on middle backline / steering length , gives a powerful very connected feel with above average feel at the bar,( my preference)
flick it to wave fast turning
longest backline for a completely different feeling that a wave rider would love
its an allround Kite with the ability to fine tune imo
Tbh I thought it was a bit of a gimmick when I first looked at the v1 just looked like the old catalyst rebranded which I had in an 8, but nothing like it

Yeah, Took me a few sessions to dial mine in. i certainly didnt like it on the wake style setting or freestyle setting

I'm now running fastest turning least bar pressure, wave setting. For jumps I roll with an extra 5cm of rear line tension and for foiling standard.

I'm actually quite impressed the height i can get in lighter winds for an 8m. When i say lighter winds, sub 20-25 knots. I can still get a decent punt, my 8m catalyst was crap sub 25.

Adding to my comments as I discover more about this kite. I've tried it 5 or 6 times on my foil board now but yesterday I finally got around to swapping the front line bridal settings from freestyle to wave.

My 10m Enduro is still quite far off the angles, low end and speed I can get from my 8m flysurfer soul so I'm only using the Enduro to foil when I cant be arsed changing kites. This gives it a pretty tough contender to be pitched against but I'll try to be fair...

In freestyle mode I find it is quite susceptible to lulls and gusts and for my first 5 mins I bounced the board a lot on the water surface as the kite went from powered to nothing. After adjusting my stance to more upright and easing back on the upwind angle the kite became more behaved in the same wind.

It loops fast as we all know and transition loops have to be done wide and slow to get any decent power in 10-15 knots.

Relaunch - it does pretty good in this department. Having the separate safety line bungy cord with the stopper ball is awesome. I grabbed a couple of handfuls of that yesterday, then suddenly released it and got the kite on it's back and managed to coax it around on a steering line. Although the wind was 10- 12 knots when I did this I was in a channel drifting with the wind at about 3 knots, so I was stoked to get it back up in the air and before I drifted into the Phillip Island bridge...

Now for the different bridal settings: A noticeable difference but hard to describe - there was more kite to lean back and balance against compared to freestyle mode. Turning was slightly more responsive but not transformative.

The kite seemed to be less prone to gusts on this setting and gave a more even ride. Something you would probably only notice when you're up on a hydrofoil which is really sensitive to any input and shift in your weight.

I will definitely be keeping the flysurfer soul but happily ride the enduro in wave mode on the foil.

On the 10m Enduro I've taken it as low as 10 knots on the foil in minimal current and up to about 18 knots at which point I grab the twin tip. I hate flapping the canopy when riding along and so for this kite that means anything over 15 knots requires me to depower and sheet out = flappy canopy.

Foil: Moses Fluente
Weight: 83 lbs
Wind: 10-13 knots with lulls down to 5 or 5 knots
Current: 2-3 knots
Foiling experience: 2 years

Forgot to mention drift. No comparison with the foil kite but again, not too bad for an inflatable and this was also slightly improved in wave mode.
