Hello world
Anyone got some thoughts of whats going to happen when i stack a very fast 7m lei kite 15m below a 13m foil kite ?
(Bar)--25m lines---(7m tube kite)--(15m lines)---(13m foil kite)
Will the 7m tube kite being added in the middle speed up the foil kite if it was just on 40m lines by itself?
What happens when i pull the quick release?
If lift is projected area i am guessing this will be simular to stacking 2x 12m or 2x 10m bow kites
Hope to hear soon with your theorys ideas and possibly any tests done previously simular to this.
(I may or may not have a 50m line connected to highest kites center bridal as a kill switch)
Anyone got peter lynns email he likes this sorta stuff right?

Red Baron stacked wings and ripped with 212 Kills, up to 10 kills per dogfight and many kills never reported or RTB. Stack em high. It will work
I used a 'stacked' kite set up and a land board in 96.
some British backpackers stayed with my family and had 4 ram air brake line kites. From memory each kite was the same size around 2m with a single 4.5mm graphite rod running through the leading edge. The main lines were 20m and the spacer lines for stacking were around 2m-2.5m.
in 10-12knots of wind they stacked 3 to make land boarding possible. It was a really sluggish set up, but it worked. Using it, I only remember watching a delayed turning response from the first to the second to the third. It was much more fun in 18knts+ with one.
my guess is- if you stack kites- It just adds together the bar pressure of each, less line stretch between the top and bottom canopies when the top one starts to lead the other. Line stretch then becomes a delay in a correction to the top kite.
Oh ive got some camera gear tripods remotes etc just curious if anyone knows what to expect ive only seen maybe a 10m and a 12m of identical kite shapes stacked never a really small lei and a twice size foil stacked such a big distance above it...
I love your thinking CHC. I won't point you over to Alex himself, but he's the king of the stack kite phenomenon.
