Hi all,

Had a few lessons over the past couple of years but never had the time to fully get into it.

However this is the season...... had a another couple of refresher lessons and have been out on my own.

Instructor tells me I just need to get out now and practise. If anyone at a similar stage is keen to head out either out the back of safety bay or at Melville please give me a shout!

Cheers
Rory

Hi Rory

good to hear you want to get back into it. If it's been a while since you flown a kite it's a good idea to get a refresher lesson so you can safely get back into it. This will build your confidence and ensure you can self-rescue in deep water and easily retrieve your board after a crash, relaunch your kite, launch your kite safely from the beach, etc.

You will find plenty of beginners just like you at any of the beginner friendly kite spots in Perth, just introduce yourself, offer help to launch and land kites and you'll make friends in no time

there is a great Facebook group called ''Perth Kitesurfing Gang'' where you will find many beginners at the same skill level as you looking for buddies as well.

Enjoy

Christian

Hi Christian!

Thanks for the info!

I've had 3 lessons this season 2 on the river and 1 down at safety bay on the far side.. I feel more comfortable with the control of the kite, bodydrag etc. Just looking for a bir more consistency when on the board now!

Could you recommend any other places for a beginner. Don't want to get in the way of all you pro's!

Thanks!

Rory
