Flat Water ... Swansea Channel (also known as Salts). The entrance to the "beach" area is near Swansea head land.

Surf ... Nobbies Beach, Redhead Beach, Hams Beach.

As another cockroach coming down in January I'm also interested in this!

Is www.kiteboardingnsw.org.au/locations/ pretty comprehensive?

Does anybody have comments on Nelson Bay-Fingle bay, Nobby's Beach, and Hawks Nest - Jimmys and Winda Woppa? I saw the kitesandsup shop mentioned due to construction they won't use this location. Not sure how up to date that is and applicability to non learners?

Work has me down for the week from the 8th-12th Jan and was thinking of staying for the 2 weekends that bookend it - What's the percentage chances of of wind on those weekends?

Im working for Kite and Sup and we teach all over Port Stephens i take Nelson Bay, Tea gardens/Hawks Nest, to Stockton. i teach at either Baggnals Beach in Corlette or Fingal Bay both are Great spots to ride in a NE.

NE: Pretty much any of the beaches in newcasltle work, Stockton, Nobbys, Bar, the Cliff, Dicko, RedHead, Blackies, Hams, Salts bay for flat water

Chances of wind as not bad but who knows really untill its actually here keep your eyes on seabreeze and wait and see

Yeah thanks folks. I've booked for 6th-14th. So I guess prey for some windy weekends. Looking at beaufort suggests a 50% chance of kiteable weather. If anybody has any fallback suggestions for sightseeing in the area in the event of no wind I'd be keen to hear them!
