Just wondering what the best beach break locations north of Manly and what are the main winds in Summer (NE or SE ?), I'm goofy so prefer lefthanders [sorry for putting this in the WA section].

Northern beaches gets sh!tty wind (ie 5 knots less than botany/kurnell/cronulla) due to inland topography but the good news is its all lefts if you're riding down the line downwind in a NE which is our regular summer breeze direction.
Apart from this poor advice I suggest that you jump on google maps to scope spots, that will probably give you the best insight into where to ride.

cheers, yes I guess wind strength would be an issue so I envisage doing more surfing than kiting, Collaroy looks good, just wondering about best place to camp out to maximise opportunities and reduce driving (working in Chatswood, live in Dee Why or thereabouts)
South Narra and Palm Beach are your go tos for a Northerly. But as was said. Its pretty light especially in the 2nd half of summer.

cheers I'll have plenty of time to read that end to end while waiting for wind it seems, otherwise will check out spots and suss them out myself.
was just hoping for a bit local knowledge actually. Doesn't sound like you guys get much kitesurfing done up there...
As a local at narra I can tell u that although the winds can be light and at times fickle there are so many places you can kite. Winds from south around to nw. No crowds but at long reef sometimes. The local boys will tell u whatever you need to know once u r here on the sand. Kurnel is a wind tunnel most days if you have time for the drive across the city.
