Ive just bought these for my Hairstyle board - very soft and comfy with the non slip foam and wide enough at the back to move around a bit... Switch V4 pads.

The Axis Traction pads have a layer of that energy absorbing gel in them. Very comfortable and forgiving without being bulky and spongy.

Might have a spare pair I could part with...

Naish Apex pads come with inserts so you can choose your softness

Have to agree with Kamikuza - Of all the pads I've tried these are actually very comfy.... The red parts contain that energy absorbing foam. Pretty sure they can be purchased on their own or with straps.

Cheers men.

The axis dont physically look soft. But I guess whats hidden underneath is more important.
The cheap Switch do look Cushy. Any others ridden them that are prepaired to make a comment.

Ozone kites, Can you giv me a bolt hole spacing measurement for the food pads?

I have the switch pads. Yes they are soft, but I am not a fan of the strap. Feels super flimsy and I have never had the board come flying off my feet so much. I am normally a massive fan of switch, but don't rate their pads and straps. Maybe mine mistakenly got coated in vaseline or something? Slippery.

I have both the Axis and Switch pads (V3)

Switch pads are way more comfy in my opinion.

No problems here with quality or slipping off however I reckon it would depend on the shape of your foot.

The Axis pads are definately a tighter fit

Forgive my laziness, I did not unbolt them off my board for an extra accurate measurement but they appear to be 150mm between inserts. The footpad base has slotted holes for the screws so there is another 15-20mm to play with as well on the Axis pads.

The problem I have with the axis pads I use, is they have a far too large heel section before the straps.

Meaning, to get right into the straps you find your heel isn't well over the edge... and you can't push the pads back any further otherwise they will drag in the water at the edge. I'm only size 10 in feet however.

Hence you are always lifting your toes...if you know what I mean...

I know this seems strange but honestly its a real issue... for me anyway.

other pads I have had, have a much smaller heel section before the straps...and I have had a few...

Anyone else find this?

liked the crazy fly ones to be honest. Really simple. Of course they have a fancy pants one now as well. The Nobile ones were alright but still gave me some foot pain. Had the naish apex ones, but no good for board offs as they really lock you in regardless of settings.

I'm on the lookout for something as well. My arches are knackered and need support. Even considering boots and putting the board offs away for good.

Using axis ones now, so I still vouch for them, but I do think the heel on them is far to big and the strap should be closer to the heel edge so when you lean over you are using your body weight through the heel side more effectively without having to lift the toes. Wouldn't be a problem if you have bigger feet I suppose.

Get in touch with Simon at Nomad kiteboarding and see if he will sell you some of his footpads. Perhaps the softest, most comfortable I have used. I also have the Axis pads and rate the Nomad as softer feeling yet again.

The Plus version has two sets of Velcro straps you can crank the toes down...

I've size 11/12 feet and like the straps loose, so they're Judy big enough for me...

Don't like soft pads, comfortable for me is enough padding that you don't feel everything but not so much you lose feeling.

I have the plus version

nothing wrong with the unit at all except the heel side is too big hence the straps sit too far forward

Huh. I've tried others and my feet hang once one edge, or not sit "in the groove" nicely. The Axis pads are just right, with enough mood to move my feet around a little.

You're weird

Personally recommend and guarentee these are the softest
needs a dozen sessions to mold memory foam to your feet, if you want to be really locked in, pair with dakine warlock straps,

Try Apex pads with NO insert. Bliss pads from OceanRodeo are a softer surface and good shock absorbers on the water, but I'm still getting used to the less grippy surface and no heel kicker.

You said size 10 feet, I assume UK not US 10? I'm UK 11-12, so only a tad bigger ... in the feet department. So you're still weird :D

But the accumulation of additional pie consumption in combination gravitational forces conspire to compress the foam more and thus provide a alternative user experience than that of the individual of considerably less pie. Therefore rendering the user experience as a feasible data input null and void.
