Are there any reps for this online? I have a harness that is only 6 months old and the back stitching has broken off the hard shell.

Seen this on some earlier models, take it back to the shop 1st, they'll make contact with distributor/ importer, or if ortharised will repair /replace the harness, if bought online you'll have to sort it

Yeah I got to say very disappointed with the process so far. I have purchased second hand cabrinha kites privately or from other shops and my local shop have done warranty claims on the kite right on the spot even a kite several years old (due to known defect).

Seems like some shops "dealers" they call themselves are not willing to back the products they sell. I guess the gimmick factor should always sound a warning that something will break and a brand that has limited presence will always have poor support (pun intended).

Yes had the same separation from hard shell with the 2017Timber veneer model.Took Photos for supplier then RE wanted the harness. Then RE replaced it with a new one.Have got a similar problem again with two separate RE hard shell pulling away from stitching.Bottom lower back Edge.
Will have to go through the same process I suppose.
Not good.Dissappointed.You pay for quality.

This is a simple fix imho, you can see the coverage from the perimiter stitching is close to the edge of the hard shell, if it was 50 mm from the edge you wouldnt have this issue, THIS IS WHY ITS PULLING AWAY

Kitepower had one do it, same model, along the lower edge and it was replaced under warranty, no questions. Contact your supplier.

yep that's plan B, looks fairly easy to glue back since hardshell does not seem to be part of the stitching, not ideal but first see if I can get warranty honored first

Hi Peahi,

Can you PM me your number. (You weren't the one who called at 6:45PM?)

When did you log your case? It takes 3-7 days turn around as we have to log it with the R+D team in the US.

This is a simple warranty case. We have replaced every case with an updated model.

The new models have a carbon fibre strip along the shell with a new shell material which has fixed this issue.

Thanks for getting back, yes that was me, I logged the case on 30 Oct. Initially I went through the international website.

Just a thank you to Rideengine and Actionsportswa for the great product support you guys gave me, proof that supporting local is worth it!

Completely agree Swartgevaar.
I had a harness issue (not RE) and the guys at Action spoke to the harness dudes on the east coast while I waited in the store. 15 min later I walked out with a new replacement harness. Great local service.

I just had the same thing happen to my harness! last week and it was just out of warranty (I think) but the guys at 7 nation just sorted it out today, awesome. I hope it was just a bad batch ? as I love the harness / hardshell

Yep agree once I got hold of Josh at 7-nation (the international website gave me an email that bounced, hence my initial frustration), the harness was replaced no problems. I'm still using the old one with the old carbon slider, but don't think it's fixable which is a shame they are a great harness.
