is it possible to have a kite with great low end grunt, great range at top end and have light to medium bar pressure? If so what kite is this?

Yes, the Ozone Edge V9, Zephyr V5, Enduro V2, Reo V5, Hyperlink V1 all have those qualities of low to medium bar pressure, so easy one handed power control and turning, even the Zephyr which is a 17M. Foil kites like the Hyperlink V1 and Chrono V3 have the best wind range in my experience. At 75kg the Chrono V3 UL is ging me a better bottom end than the Zephyr but it is a super light weight kite and definitely not suited to rough handling or proper waver riding.

I thought my bias was blindingly obvious, but just to make it clear - I'm recommending Ozone kites, because I know them well, and I'm the Australian distributor.

Not looking to argue but I have an old zephyr v4 think. But whilst I enjoy flying it and think its a great kite for its catergory. I have never thought it had a light bar pressure, So what do you call heavy bar pressure in post 2013 kites?

Hopefully this compliments ops question

The zephyr went increasingly higher aspect and the bar pressure did ease off... but it was never heavy.

Are you asking for large kites or any size?

hahahaha,,,,, I still have a 5.5m AR5 in my shed,,,, yep, its THE Delaminator of all delaminators and all will bow down to the best delaminator in the business (except the ARX,,,, that was next level).

A kite that has a very similar feel throughout the quiver has always been a must for me, also a good sign that each size has been designed well, I've owned a few brands where the 8/10 has been worlds apart from the 12 almost unrelated in feel,
never loved a light pressure, tbh Carnt beat a kite that has a very direct attached feel , wind strengths can add a bit more pressure especially in their upper ranges, as Mctool mentioned a kite that's effortless to fly one handed is a good sign of decent grunt/ pull and kites like the edge / rebel I found were great with a great mid pressure feel at the bar for getting low on your edge with little or no redirection, certain kites just dump the power when you lock in a solid edge and you have to keep redirecting and get a bit flatter on the board as the Kite lacks that drive, not everyone's requirement but something I look for

Stay away from black kites, they absorb the most Sun rays - being slower on the UP stroke because of resistance...

is that why Cauncy is in all black to create extra edge resistance.

I had the v5 I wouldn't call it light to medium bar pressure with the new bar I'd say more medium and a touch more

Its been said a bit higher but the XR5 is very direct, and does not have a ridiculous amount of bar pressure. plus you can adjust the settings to make it lighter
