Hi all, first post here, hope is the right section..
Due to back problems i decided ti switch to a seat harness. I m beetween ion b2 and np tracker.
I red dakine has lower quality, ion b2 has very good reviews by users, but np tracker bar seems awesome!!
Price are Pretty much the same

I have used both because I've got a bad back too , its more about fit. the B2 is a bigger fit .My advice try a pair on
Hope this helps George

I tried a Dakine Vega 2018 seat today with jay dynabar slider...... was super comfy over 2 sessions.
Same as dakine nitrous but without the board shorts.

Less restrictive around the hips and the leg straps are more comfy than nitrous.

To be honest i was 25mins into my session before i realised i had it on.... instead of the shorts.

Ill be surprised if i get more than 12 months of boosting out of it though as its build is identical to nitrous.

I've had the nitrous shorts for a number of years and have been very happy with them. A couple of weeks ago I bought an Ion Radar seat harness. They are built more substantially than the nitrous shorts and should last longer than the nitrous shorts, but I was still getting more than a couple of seasons from the nitrous shorts.
The down side of the Radar is being built more substantially makes them a bit heavier and a little less comfortable, but I still rate them high for comfort and would recommend them.

Another vote for the Nitrous shorts! Add a Dynabar and it's a great combo. Very comfortable and good on the back.

I am using the ION Radar seat for foil racing. It's super comfortable and build quality is spot on. It's the first seat harness I've really liked. Run it with a rope slider if you want freedom of hip rotation for surfing. Winning!

Owned 2 vegas from dakine
ultralight in weight but very supportive, a 3 season harness I've found without care, but it gets a flogging,
I've done the rounds with plenty and for me it's great,
limits movement so I rarely ride toe side now but a slider would change that,
great for powered riding and jumping on though

Bought an Ion B2, i'm very happy i tried it today and i found zero feeling difference with my old one, zero weid feeling. Hooked jump are great, didnt try backroll or front, but at the end of the day are just some cm of difference of lower hook. I think it would be ok for unhooked too, but i dont un hook so i dont know.
I thinked worse about waving. Ok is not the best for this discipline, but i did and i enjoyed. I just had to wear more confortable on the legs, without tighten hard

I have always had a bad lowerback and have found the Flying Objects KiteSeat is the best for me. comfortable and supportive for me back yet still gives me good flexibility in my legs. My first one lasted 6 season and I have just bought a new one.

Busted my ribs on waist harnesses a few times and on the third time docs orders were to give up kiting. Out of desperation I tried the Ion B2 and have never looked back. Mind you, had to give up unhooked riding and now just ride strapless surboards. Can't recommend it enough for comfort and more importantly freedom of movement especially if you have had any sort of rib injuiries.

I also have lower back issues.
Swapped between brand and I've found that going a size bigger than normal works better for me.
The support is higher. Try and make sure the support is in the small of your back.
I use the Velcro waste strap like a kidney belt dirt bikes riders wear. wrap it tight.
Finally settled on Flying Objects kite Combo.
