I was luck enough to try an E-Foil today for the first time. It takes a bit of adjustment (compared to riding a normal foil) but for anyone with any foiling experience it can be mastered in a few minutes only. You really need some throttle and speed to get this thing going as releasing the trigger will make you brake instantly (and fall). It works best at higher speeds and it's definitely a very exciting and unique experience. I did get a solid leg burn but I only just finished a 2 hour kite foiling session just before so that didn't help. The carving sensation is unique and a lot of fun.

Has anyone else tried these and would like to share their experience ?

I was quite interested in this and checked out their website... "from $14,850" is a big ask!

Yep a pretty steep price point, but it's what you would expect for such a high tech product. The battery alone is worth $4k.
An electric surfboard would cost $25k !

I highly doubt you will be able to get a product of this quality for under $10K even 5 years from now, so I wouldn't expect a big price drop, especially not half price.

There are already cheap knock-offs available on the Chinese market for 5 or 6K, but they really seem to perform poorly from observing the construction and videos of people riding these products.

Can you see any long-term appeal in it Christian? It looks like a bit of fun to try but also a bit like having an electric skateboard in a vast featureless car park...?
