How come when you bend a credit card in half, sometimes they snap clean and other times they just fold in half?

I didn't know that happened, I've only had them bend. Maybe your cards have higher limits?

But... Why, when I keep my card in a metal money clip sandwiched between a few notes does it no longer work with tap and go Tech? Disables them every time.. and mean permanently, it's not a shielding thing, it's when I get the card naked and tap, nothing!

Put a fridge magnet in my wallet once to check for boggy rust repairs when I was looking at a second-hand car. Decided to buy the car but couldn't get the cash from the ATM because the fridge magnet had wiped the magnetic strip on my card.
