North (Duotone) Speedster
True to it's advertising, this foil has an amazing speed range and is fantastic to learn on.
It planes very early (I've foiled in 7-8 knots on a 9m), has a long fuselage (making it stable), stays on the plane through turns and lulls, and tracks amazingly through turns. It's also fast. I've easily passed windsurfers and kiters on on twinies and surfboards.
It's easy to assemble and comes with easy on and off mast and foil covers.
Because of the composite design, there's no problem with anodisation and therefore no need to use tefgel. So can comfortably keep it assembled (or part assembled) without having to worry about corrosion.
The composite material is extremely durable, benefiting from the stiffness of carbon, and the durability of it being a compound.
I'm selling because I upgraded to a (significantly more expensive carbon foil).
The foil has a minor scuff on the front of the nose. This could easily be smoothed out with a dab or two of epoxy. I've not noticed any performance decrements as a result.
Here's the blurb from North (now Duotone): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBN1crXWPMs. Incidentally this is the exact same foil as the Duotone Speedster Foil.
